Where do I Find Stock Photos for Templates?

I plan on making a few ebook cover and web templates, and I am curious where other designers get their images when making templates.

I understand that places like istockphoto.com sell royalty free images that can be used in design, but according to their TOS these images cannot be used for templates. I see a lot of designers making templates that they either give away or sell, and I was hoping that someone would share a stock photo source that allows the images to be used in templates.

If you don't have anything constructive then don't mess with my thread. Seriously. I understand the concept of Google and have been to a ton of stock photo sites, what I want to do is learn from others that are in the same position as me as to what sites allow their images to be used as templates. I just don't have the time to read through every site's TOS until I find what I am looking for. As far as I know this is a community of people that help each other. I'm pretty sure most thread could be answered be doing a Google search, it's just that it is more effective to speak with like minded people that have had similar experiences.

I've had luck with the photographers who provide the free images at sxc.hu (I'm sure there are other sites with similar, free photos.)

I look for unrestricted images that I like, and then I contact the photographer. Quite often, they're happy to give the okay as long as you mention them (and perhaps their business name and/or URL) in the product notes.

That may be more than you want to do, but I see it as an "everyone wins" situation: I get great photos with no expense, and the photographer gets the ego boost, and perhaps additional visibility and business.

I think one way to go is head over to deviantart.com or sxc.hu... and if you find stuffs you like, ask directly to the artist/photographer.

By the way, I went through the terms at BigStockPhoto, it may just work for website template designers. Thanks for pointing this out.
