Different Favicons Single Wordpress Install?

Hi, I'm wondering how I'd go about getting a different favicon to display for different sites that are under a single wordpress install. Currently all sites are displaying the favicon from the main site. I've read you can upload it into the theme folder but since all sites are running the same theme I don't think this would help...

    so what are the differences between each site? thats basically where you'd have to start looking for a solution, find an element of each site that are different and switch the favicon based on that element
