Wordpress Page Breaks And SEO Help
A stem winder question for Wordpress/SEO savvy guys regarding pesky page breaks...
In more than 40 sites I have never had to seriously worry with page breaks, but I'm there now.
I have a long article that needs to be strung out on more than one page.
So, for SEO value, is it better to use the Wordpress page break function, or simply split the article into two, and manually post on two pages?
For simplicity, just say that there is only one key phrase to worry with.
What I'm seeing after using the page break is there isn't a new post in the directory. It's still just one page. But when you view it, it's split up on the computer with the neat little page numbers below. I don't understand the mechanics of this.
If SEO weren't important, the page break would be dandy, you see. And may still be.
Here's the big question... Using the ol page break, I'm wondering if a search bot would index it as one long page?
You know, I think I just answered my own question, but I'd still like your input.
Obviously I'd get more bang with two pages with that phrase on it.
See what I mean?
If you know, or have a good opinion, I'd love to hear it.
Super thanks!
