How can I restrict access for one country?

Hi warriors,

I finishing developing traditional clothing ecommerce site for Diasporas. The reason i wanted to block is the local people is they cant buy online so i want to save bandwidth. But i am also live in that country and want have access to my laptop only.

instead of blocking them, you can try to redirect them to an affiliate website (amazon?)
use .htaccess file

The usual way is to put them all into a database, and then check them against each user when they visit.

Use mod_geoip module. MaxMind - GeoIP Apache API

For example:

GeoIPEnable On
GeoIPDBFile /path/to/GeoIP.dat

SetEnvIf GEOIP_COUNTRY_CODE CN BlockCountry
SetEnvIf GEOIP_COUNTRY_CODE RU BlockCountry

# ... place more countries here
Deny from env=BlockCountry
