I'm hacking away at a site for a therapist.

It's a Themeforest theme made with tables. The problem I'm having is that I need to remove the original content and add my own but for some reason when I remove text / images the structure of the site changes.

It seems that the content in the tables is dictating the structure of the site. I don't understand this. For example when I remove a lorem ipsum text block the whole site goes skewy?

    Work in HTML mode, not visual mode. Look for the Table Body Cells <td></td> and replace the content between the tags with your own.

    Then switch to Visual mode and style your content.

    What happens is when you delete the content in visual mode, WP automatically strips the table formatting.

    Can you link to the theme on Themeforest so i can see what it should look like.

    What i normally do with themes link this is remove all the pages / posts etc and start my own site at the beginning,

    Are there any widgets in place that might be messing up look of the site ?

    Maybe you should ask Theme Forest's seller for support. These guys are very friendly and he'll guide you to put your site live.
