WEB DESIGN

Hello Warriors, after two weeks of hard work I have created my website.

It is in simple html, and I have spent a lot of hours to make it 100% HTML and CSS errors (and warnings) free.

My website has been developped around a simple idea: usability.
Visitor will come from SERPs, and every article is designed to show to the reader what he really is looking for: a list of the articles on the left side of the page, so the body of the article.

Every page contains a opt-in to subscribe to my list.

After the content, there is a section "See also" with links to the pages related to the topic of the article visitor previously had read.

Eventually there is a banner of a product I warmly recommend, related to the topic of the page of course.

Now I'm finishing my SEO strategy, searching the best keywords.

Then I will do a long and (hopefully) effective link building strategy.

I'd be glad to hear comments and tips from you.

Your website has a lot of nice content, but I am put off by the outdated look. Having an outdated look makes me think your content is also outdated.

I suggest getting a wordpress theme and putting your site together on that so you can have a fresher look.

I have a background with Joomla. The other day a client asked me for help with Wordpress, and my god it is easy. I now understand why everyone uses wordpress, it doesnt get much simpler.

Also, because wordpress is so widely used if you have any simple problems you will most likely be able to find a youtube video on how to do what you want.

Also x2, most major hosts provide for a 1 click install of wordpress so you don't need to mess around with creating databases and changing wordpress config files.

wordpress is the best way to go. i would recommend going to youtube and watch a few tutorials on how to install it and you can also learn how to tweek your theme to make it like you wish. good luck! site is ok imo

I have some troubles with my website, probably I made some mistake writing .htaccess file.
Now when I try to reach the index, I go to domain.com . How is it possible?

This is the .htaccess I'm using, but still when I delete it, server redirects me to domain.com!

I would agree with most of the comments, go with a WordPress platform. There are many themes that have a similar layout to what you have, but it will make your life so much easier.
The blue background is annoying, just the wrong shade.
Get rid of the text enlarge/italic on hover in the sidebar.
I appreciate all the hard work you did to create this site, but like mcflause pointed out, it's very outdated looking, and I'll add that your source code is really outdated as well.
There's very little need to ever use tables/td/tr etc..., it's a poor way to code.
Use html5 and css3 or html4 at least. Move the inline css to an external css file.
Again, go with a WordPress theme written in valid html5 and css3 and that will solve many problems right away.

GREAT Content!.. I would definitely suggest moving it to an more updated template. This seems a lil 1999 Angelfire-ish.

  Wordpress would be the way to go with its easy fast installation and is also favored by Google. Ohter than that, your site has a lot of informative articles and content. The blue background needs to be toned down just a bit.
