Hi everyone,

First off, I am new to these forums and want to say hello to everyone, look forward to discussing IM with all of you.

Secondly, I'm wondering what everyones favourite wordpress theme is? Paid or Free.

I have been using Suffusion for as long as I can remember, but curious to what other options are out there. I have recently heard of OptimizePress and it seems like an awesome theme for IMers. Any others that you would suggest I check out?

    Hello and welcome!

In the bigger scheme of things, the actual template play just a small role in the entire picture. All special 'features' or plugins, plainly saying, just help make it easier for ON PAGE Seo.

At the end of the day, so many other factors matter too; the quality of your content, the number, quality and RELEVANCE of your backlinks, the buzz you create for your business etc.

If Suffusion has been working fine for you, you can stick with it. If you want, no harm playing around with the rest. After that, work on building the business.

    Rock on!

      Hey SiegerVinnare,

Welcome to this community, I am sure you will find this an awesome place to Interact with the IM Community. I personally love it, I am still rather new in this forum, but I consult it daily for all my IM Needs.

      As to your question...

It really depends on what type of theme you want to use If you are creating a sales page and a Squeeze page I really do recommend OptimizePress. It is amazing!!! I had heard about it long ago, but I did not take the plunge right into get it immediately because of the cost... It is 97 Dollars, and I did not think it was worth it at the time. But as I learned more and more about Internet Marketing I found that I needed to stop trading my valuable time looking for good Sales and Squeeze pages and I decided to buy it. It was the best purchase I have ever made. The time you can save with a system like OP is just astonishing. It is worth it. I also found a good resource for good Themes for blogs and Sales and Squeeze Pages on WooThemes and ThemeForest. These are some fantastic places to go if you are looking for a variety of stand alone themes I would go look in these places. They have an awesome collection of beautiful themes for all of your needs. I use them for Client websites and stuff like that.

Whatever you decide to go with, it is Important that you save time to do what really matters, which is the marketing of your Website... Building your list is crucial to success. You should focus on this and this alone.

I hope you found my answer helpful. It is awesome to connect with people through here. We are all like minded and love this Industry.

Very helpful, thank you Alex. I looked for the actual "thank you" button but seems that might be a feature only available after a certain number of posts? I can't seem to find it.

Anyways, I am definitely considering buying OptimizePress. Seems like an awesome theme. I'll check out the other ones you listed as well, thanks for that.

By the way, when you say "building your list" what are you referring too? Probably a newbie question. Do you mean just making lists of resources?

          1. Building your list means gathering email addresses of visitors to your site. Then as you mail to the list in the future you will offer products that they may want to purchase and which you can profit from.

          2. The thank you button appears after your 5th post.

Thank you Dan, for clearing that up for me! Appreciated.

Yes, I definitely agree with you that its just a small part. Although, since I'm not very fluent with programming languages, I find the theme can help me on the design aspect.

I was going to make my first thread about backlinks but these forums are already so jam packed with information that I just needed to use the search function instead. Can't believe I hadn't found these forums before. Seems like an awesome community.

My favorite theme for building affiliate and Adsense sites is Weaver II combined with a few plugins. It's available free in the Wordpress theme directory and they have a paid version as well which gives a bit more functionality if you need more customization, but I find the free version to work just fine for most everything.

For a free theme, the one I've used the most is Vigilance.

    For paid themes, I like:

    Elegant Themes
    OptimizePress
Themeforest (including all the spin offs)

I use two themes on one domain.
    Kind of "hybrid".

    For content theme, I use
    Thesis theme with more plug-ins.

And for Sales theme, I use
    OptimizePress with less plug-ins.

This way, I keep clutter out of plug-ins
that might conflict each other and
get the best out of both themes
    that I like.

In America anyone can go straight to the top. And here's what's exciting- It is the bottom that is crowded, not the top.

There's not a specific theme that I love, I just like to buy separate themes for each site from ThemeForest.

I tried Headway as a main theme to build different sites around it, didn't really work that well for me (maybe it was just my experience with it).

I use CANVAS from Woothemes. It's very flexible and I can do ANYTHING I want with it.

But I have to say, I learned some php and css along the way of customizing my blog.

Good luck. (Woothemes' support is excellent by the way : and they give you 20% coupons if you ask for them via email)

I personally really like matt carters FREE theme that he allows you to download somewhere on his blog (matts marketing blog). It allows you to do a lot of different things very easily compared with most free wordpress themes.

You can change the color, put up different banners, and change layout options very easily. I find it works well for most types of websites although i haven't personally used it for adsense. Either way, i highly recommend checking it out

There are lots of themes and frameworks available for Wordpress like elegant themes, thesis framework, themeforest, woothemes and many mores but I preferred elegant theme most as their premium membership fees is 39$ only and they have lots of beautiful themes with their own epanle template structures.
