Hi guys, I have one site that I want to move from XSitePro to WordPress. I have just installed WordPress on the domain through my cpanel. Of course the site is still showing up as normal. I have copied all the necessary files. Do I have to delete the site in XSitePro, or what exactly do I have to do so I start with a fresh WordPress site? Has anybody done this before?

Also, since I am not going to use my XSitePro any more, I am wondering whether it will be possible to sell it on (for a big discount, of course). Any ideas?

I just am much more comfortable with WordPress.

Thanks for any input.

I know nothing about XSitePro. Let me ask a couple of questions though. Where does your site point to when you type in the URL? Typically it will look for index.html. Try typing our URL/index.php and see if that brings up your Wordpress site.

Is there a reason you have not removed the XSitePro? If you are not going to use it then remove it. Unused code leaves a huge security risk.

If nothing else I would remove everything and start with a fresh install of Wordpress so you know that nothing is going to creep up and rear it's ugly head on you in six months.

Jeff, I will try to just delete the site in XSitePro and remove everything, then start anew. I think that's the best solution. I am not going to lose much since that site has not been making much money anyway. :-( Thanks for the input!
