Best way to make money online from WordPress?
I am trying to make some income off WordPress something but it is difficult for me to make up my mind as to what is the most productive way to do so and would appreciate any tips from anyone.
I am thinking that creating custom WordPress themes might be a winner but I am also aware that there are packages out there where one gets 100 great looking themes for $39 type of thing so why would someone pay $99 for a custom theme created by me for them?
Maybe moving WordPress sites between different domans might be a nice niche to focus on but I have no clue what to charge for such and also have little clue as to how often that even happens.
I have even thought of offering to do some work for some WordPress consultants who charge upwards of $700 (you read that right) to add a WordPress blog to existing corporate websites. At a discount of course.
Lots of ideas but lacking in direction on what to offer and what to charge or how to collect money doing so (collect up front, half up front, etc.?).
Anybody got any ideas as to how I can make money from WordPress?
Assume for purposes of this thread that I am very knowledgable in WordPress, PHP programming, and web development in general.
I am NOT interested in one time gigs and am not trying to get that from this thread. I am interested in long term ideas that might enable me to make a steady income from my WordPress skills over the long haul though it would be nice to start making some money within the next month or two on the outside and not next year type of thing.
Just doing some market reasearch looking for the best ideas at this point.
