Graphics & Animation Ideas

Hey, guys. Long time, no see. I have a VERY broad, basic question, here. I'm planning on going back to school for a degree in "Digital Design and Computer Animation", but I'd still like to be my own boss and be location-independent. What sort of online work can a person do with such training? I know about freelance work. I'm not sure how difficult or competitive that would be, but there's gotta be other ways of using the skills I'll have; other businesses I can start or get into. I just had this idea not too long ago, so I don't know where I can go with it. What do you think? Some of you obviously have experience with this. What are YOU doing?

Thanks in advance.

It's a great decision indeed wurmwood. Hope you will like and enjoy your business a lot. At the outset I want to tell you that after completion of your "Digital Design and Computer Animation" degree, you may have chances to work as a web designer where you will deal on developing various web-applications. It's very very interesting, afterward you may have a chance to design your own website with own domain name. Wish you success...

Once you are familiar with designing tools like photo shop etc you can go for online logo designing, web site designing. you can also design greeting cards, visiting cards. if you are interested in photography then you can take photos and sell it online. But online work has competition but if you are artistic then you can get jobs easily.
