How to set up html squeeze page??

Hey everyone I've used wordpress on all my IM projects before. But I have an html squeeze page I want to use. Is it hard to install this onto my hostgator account? I'm not a techy really and used to the point and click install with wordpress. Any tips appreciated!

    You shouldn't upload your page as "page.html" but "page.php" or the autoresponder script will not work.

      Says who? Do you have proof that AR forms (e.g. Aweber optin form) don't work on html files/pages?

        Yeah, I was wondering if anyone was going to spot that on. the form should work fine as an HTML page that is of course assuming it's an html form. What you choose to do with the form data will determine to some degree what type of script or file you have for the backend.

        Some autoresponders like Aweber or Getresponse work with html pages because the "action" field of the html form manages the php, yes. But some autoresponders don't work with html page. But you're right, I'll ask the auresponder next time
