A colleague of mine got a website designed for his hypnotherapy business. The company completed the site, but went into liquidation before doing any real seo on the site.

One thing I noticed was that he had no h2 or h3 headings. So in dreamweaver, he altered some of the headiings to h3.

He had a youtube video on the site, but since altering the headings the video has gone.

There is a blank box at the top left where it used to be.

When I click view page source, the html embed code appears to be there still but no video.

I only use wordpress now and havent realy had much to do with "real" html etc.

The url is http://www.freeyourmind.info/

Any ideas

Thanks

Craig

    dreamweaver screwed your code

edit your file and remove the code between
    <div id="topcon"> <div id="blank">...

    </div>

place there the embed code from youtube, you will have to adjust height and width of your video.

Big mistake... Looks like someone ignorant of two tools (WordPress and Dreamweaver) uses one to screw up the other...

p.s. DW should be used ONLY in code mode when messing with WP template files!!!

    Thanks Failideas.

For the record Istvan, I was saying that I only use wordpress and have no real knowledge of dreamweaver. I wasn't "mixing and matching" tools. I was trying to help out a friend who has been left in the lurch by his web design company. Thanks for your comments anyway.

you need to go into your wordpress backend and find another video (from you tube) to embed into your posts (like the first one) or main page.

    Hi Rahsheen

My friends site isn't a wp site. It was built by a professional web design company. When they went bankrupt, they showed him how to make changes using Dreamweaver. He was doing ok until he altered the h1 tags. Now the you tube video has gone, leaving a blank space where it was, but the embed code is still there. I think Failideas is probably right and the code has become skewed somehow.I am struggling because I am not familiar with dreamweaver nor am I proficient with html, but at the moment I feel I need to help him sort this out.

Replace the old video code with your own YouTube video embed code. Can't be any simpler. The old set up with any custom platform will require you to check the instructions provided by the developer.

I would check the css or style file.
Sometimes H1 size, font, url and images etc are set there.
