Please Help-SiteMap On Index Page?

Hi all...

Can someone please let me know how to get my sitemap.xml file on my index page? I heard it was a good idea so it's right there when getting indexed by Google.

    you just place it in your root folder ie /public_html/sitemap.xml

    from what i understand the bots will find it if its available

    or you can always use one of those little buttons you see and link directly to it...

    thats what i tend to do... but you should also submit it to your google webmaster tools...

    You can upload it anywhere, just link to it from your homepage, and submit it via the google webmaster tools.
