Hello warriors,

Could you guys please recommend me some books/ebooks which are cheap/free to learn any site designing steps using the latest WordPress version?

I do a lot designing a site page mock-up using Photoshop. Now I want to learn how to code it into a working site using WordPress from the beginning to the complete final result.

    Dont bother with ebooks, google tutsplus and browse their various excellent sites.

    This came up in a quick search:

    WordPress Theme Development Training Wheels | Wptuts+

    There are sure to be loads of others as well. Most stuff on their sites is good and easy to follow, and if its not/got some bad advice, the huge following will point it out in the comments

    Books are great for certain things. If you dont know php, sure grab a decent book on it, ditto html/css - learn the fundamentals from a book.

    But for something like wordpress, with so many possibilities, a book structure is likely to be too rigid. Combining great working example tutorials like at tutsplus, with the encyclopaedic wordpress codex, and you will learn faster.

    Personally, I prefer to youtube whatever I want to do with wordpress or you can go to wordpress.tv too....
