Optimize is a WordPress theme, which means I can't use it directly on my main sales site. I assume I need put it on some kind of subdomain, and it's awfully hard to identify other sites that use it. I suppose something like sales.domainname.com would be easy enough, but seems like it might scare off people who land there.

Also, I have no idea if anyone would want more than one landing page for a site, but maybe so. In that case, I wouldn't want to use anything broad and generic.

So before I try to set up a page, what on earth URL should I put it on?

To build a list start with a squeeze page called domainname.com that just has an optin.

Then add a wordpress site to domainname.com/keyword or my blog or articles or whatever.

If you want to build a niche site, put your wordpress theme on the main domain name and on all the other pages call it domain name/keywordsecrets or tips or something like that.

Remember, name your pages for the customer, not what they are to you.

I already have a site domainname.com, which has a couple of hundred products on it. It has an opt-in form, but no one has opted in. I got Optimize later. (I have been remarkably good at putting carts before horses)

In that case, I think domainname.com/keyword won't work. Which of the following would be best?
      • subdomain.domainname.com
      • dname.com (in other words, a variant of the domain name. I have one that I bought just to save keystrokes and then was advised not to use it for link making, which was the whole idea. But I have two different sites I want to build landing pages for.)

I suspect that I should use the shortened name where I have it and a subdomain for the other one. But in that case, any good ideas? Do any of these work?

      hello.domainname.com
      welcome.domainname.com
      introducing.domainname.com
