Wordpress static page - title tag problem

Hello,
I have already googled up the net to solve this problem. I am not able to follow the instruction because I dont clearly understand

I created a static page and made it my home page

The following is the site:
GPS Navigation System | GPS NAVIGATION SYSTEM
Theme: suffusion

The title tag has two phrases coming up. "GPS Navigation System | GPS NAVIGATION SYSTEM"

The help I need:
I want to find a way to eliminate the basic title tag( in this case the second one in capitals). The problem in leaving it blank is that the "|" stays with just one phrase.
