On the last november 2011, i made a blog. I was made mine with blogspot, so you know for all these times i live, i didn't blog with a free one. this is the the first time

When i learn to make a blog, i used a paying wordpress. So for me, using blogspot was a new experience and there was a little bit of exitement to try!

the goal?

it's simple. I just wanted to know the SEO effect of blogspot, compared with wordpress. Because there are many people told me that wordpress is better. But there are some people who use blogspot, and they're fine with it. Then i get anxious, and i tried blogspot! so what was tested? Of course only the SEO of it.

it's not about the interface, it's also not about the easiness or other things. Once more, the SEO!

i straightly set my sight to the one which have the searching amount about 40K per month.
and
my first impression of using blogspot was:

1. It's time toindex is very fast. Especially if your article is high quality, you sure the incoming visitor wanted to share it. That's the only standard of a high quality content, in my opinion.

2. The rank increase is very fast. Maybe it's true, that blogspot is google's loving son.

but, until march 2012, i was bored of using blogspot. and i think of using wordpress again. Cause it's actually simple, blogspot can't custom meta description. Except if you want to fully examine it. I think it already can now. But when i was in the beginning of march, i really wanted to get back to WP, because i think my position is stuck in page 3...

that's my experience..
how about you guys??

If you are serious about a website or blogging, never use blogspot. Anyone can afford a .com domain with hosting nowadays. No need for free hosters anymore.

I think wordpress is better than blogspot . But as blogspot is a product by Google so some time it's can bring anything extra than wordpress . I use both of them .

    Worepress is better in SEO
But you can't add the Google adsense at wordpress (@ Free version), This is the only disadvantage of wordpress .

If you want to make a site by wordpress/blogspot (Not Free) then wordpress is better .

Wordpress gives you the most flexibility

The problem with blogspot is that the content you post on them doesn't really belong to you. And since you're only borrowing a portion of their website they can take it down anytime without your consent. The nice thing about blogspot is that it ranks well and its easy to maintain.

Wordpress on the other hand is a versatile platform and because its an open source platform you can configure it in anyway you desire. There are countless themes that are available that you can use or you can even use your own theme if you know how to make them. The plug ins are also useful because a lot of them help optimize a WP website.

So if you want to use something more flexible go with Wordpress. But if you just want something simple to create your blog and post them online then Blogspot will do the job. Just keep in mind that the contents you post on blogspot can be taken down anytime if the provider deem the material inappropriate or it goes against their TOS.

I think blogspot is more for beginners. If you're really good then you can rank well in a very short time even with wordpress and of course a paid domain.
The only advantage of blogspot is that is indexed fast but in the end a very good wordpress website with excelent content will be eventually ranked higher than blogspot.
Of course there are a lot of exceptions but this depends a lot of the niche and the competition.

Try find a warrior named "nest28" , he knows a lot tips for blogspot...

Don't forget you can buy your own custom domain through blogspot, so you can get rid of blogspot word on your domain to look more pro and the domain is the main thing in the site as you can ad more content whenever you like, backup your content is a good idea too, so you can use it normally without pay and worry about hosting.Google never will shutdown your blog, just make sure you ad unique great content.

After playing around with Blogger a bit I think my plan is to only use Blogger for testing or link wheels and not for any more money sites. There is just so much more you can do using self-hosted Wordpress. I think it is a little easier to get real and targeted traffic with WP too.

Wordpress all day, man. It has more customization, can be installed on your own platform effortlessly, has a larger community, and is used by the majority of new and successful websites. I personally think Blogspot is a dying breed - I doubt it will be around in five years.

Both Platforms are Good and Effective it all depends on what you want in the blog you are creating.

There's nothing Bad in Maximizing the potentials of the Two Platforms and used each to support the Other One. Its Time to Take the Opportunities in them rather than being too optimistic and pessimistic about any of them.

They are Both Great Platforms depending on how you use them and what you use them for.

About 10 days ago, I moved my site from Blogger (custom domain) to Wordpress.

I was reluctant to make the move, because my Blogger was ranking very well with G. But the advanced tools of WP could not be denied.

Long story short...go WP all the way! SEO tools, W3 (site performance) and other addons are immeasurable. WP has custom template (like mentioned earlier) that BSpot design cant even come close too.

My suggestion, start with Wordpress. Do not even hesitate.

It does not having the bias between Blogspot and Wordpress in term of SEO. Because Blogspot is one of the product of Google, it doesn't mean Google give more benefit SEO than Wordpress.
If you are serious with your business, I prefer to use Wordpress because there are many benefits more than Blogspot.
Some features that I love Wordpress:
    - Simple user interface
    - Build-in SEO benefits already
    - Fast pinging to the web
    - Easy customization
    - Active community
    - Tons of plugins
    - And too much more ...
