I am looking to get my site optimized for conversions from a design standpoint.

Just wondering if there are such things and designers who are also conversion specialists?

I am sure lots of people say they are, but do professionals exist?

    Ofcourse they exist but let me give you a quick tip.

    What ever you want converting make sure its in the view of your visitors eyes as soon as they land on your page so make it prominent.
    Design your page AROUND your "conversion topic" so that you are directing your visitors to it from every angle.
    Offer a freebie to sign up to your "conversion" always work well and remeber you can always offer the "FREEBIE FIRST" frow your list and then offer your "CONVERSION"
