WEB DESIGN

Anybody have any suggestions on how to improve the site? Does anyone think it looks OK? Opinions would be very helpful to me!

Google apparently thinks it is a spammy junk site and the rankings have tanked since I redesigned it...will probably have to sell it if things do not improve. It used to have top 3 rankings on Google for major vacation/travel related keywords.:confused:

Looks great! The only thing that may make it look a little off is the background color (personal opinion!). I love the layout and the pictures look great!

Hi there..
At my first look on your website, I found out right away that its a wordpress site... The theme your using is very simple and at the left side where the social buttons are found, it looks kinda messy.. How about finding a better theme for your website.. There are still alot of good ones that you might like..

Your post basically addresses 2 questions:
1. Is the look of the site OK.?
From my perspective, the site is very adequate, looks nicely done and has good content from what I can see.
2. What happened to my Google ranking?
That is a question that will require digging a little more than skin deep. Have you done an analysis of yor site using something like TrafficTravis or SEO powersuite?.. It may be to your benefit to have something like that done to get to the bottom of your lower rankings.. Not sure how much you know about SEO, there are plenty or resources here at the forum that can help you with that. For five bucks you can have a report done on Fiverr using the tools I mentioned, that report can give you some insight to start out with.

The site looks great, I like the layout and it offers valuable information. I agree with IMnewbie63, you should do an overall analysis of your seo. I use TrafficTravis for most of my seo analysis and it works really well, it should at least give you somewhere to start. There's even a free version that should be perfect if you're just testing the one site

The site looks great. Google tank is more than likely due to link building activity.

Recent google updates have trashed sites that where linked to from mainstream blog directories, and sites with 'unnatural anchor text distribution' which is a whole debate in its self.

But you have done a good job yet. But I think you have to improve it to engage users.

Looks good.

Try looking into your Google Webmaster tools, maybe there's a message there telling you why your site lost rank (you might have to remove some external backlinks).

Looks simple mate.

I think you need have a brand new look that will catch the attention of a viewer.

Most of people who use the internet nowadays tend to stay on a website because of how it look too.

Other than that, it's fine.
