I just recently launched a (Blogger powered) blog on gaming called 'Indie Game Smash' The blog is fairly new, so very less in posts (only 5). I 've used Amazon products for the revenue. I really don't have any expectation from adsense, but what's wrong in giving it a try. Can you please comment on my blog design, revenue system and all? Please! Your suggestions 'll be highly appreciated.Here is the link: Indie Game Smash

      The link does work, mmrumii. If you 're still unable to access my website, simply google out Indie Game Smash, or type indiegamesmash.blogspot.com in address bar.

    Site looks pretty good, I like the clean lines and colors. It takes a long time to load though, you may want to work on that. There's also something funny about the top right of the header image, it looks like there's something not loading correctly or another image showing up behind your header...may just be the way it's loading on my computer. Otherwise great job, I really like the simple design.

      Actually, the template used is from another source. I simply edit it. Menus, social bookmarks, featured posts slideshow... I was all successful. However, only the header is the one I 'm having problem with. I chose image instead of title and description, and changed the line from 47% to 100% so that image can cover the full header. But I'm unable to remove that previously set image. I can't find any source of it in the xml template. Further, I tried every size of header to overlap that awkward image, but still unsuccessful.

      Thanx for your suggestion, but I can't afford it at this time. Maybe after 3 months or 4. I guess I 'll be able to manage at least $100 so far.

    I'm not afraid of the competition. Regarding the Header, I think I'll have to resize it again.

    if your blog will gain more traffic why not try adsense in the future

      I did have enabled adsense on my blog displaying only one ad, as I really don't think sending your hard earned visitor out of your blog in exchange of a meagre cent. But at the same time, I don't think anyone will buy from Amazon on my blog.

    The blog is very nice and clean. Add something personal to give it a touch.
    If you think that you will not make money, you have already lost.

    Looks good, although you should get your own domain and hosting as soon as possible.

    A blogspot blog will always have similarities with other blogspot blogs - this is something you may not want, as especially for a video games blog, you want to differentiate (i.e., make your website not look like the others).

    Good luck!

    I'm not sure if you can customize CSS with Blogger, but if you can, you can fix that header issue Tom mentioned by adding this CSS code:

    #outer-wrapper {
    background: none;
    }

    You can also move up the header image and even out the spacing with this:

    #Header1_headerimg {
    padding-left: 4px;
    padding-top: 1px;
    }

      Thanx, Man for mentioning Outer wrapper. I was not able to figure out which line is dealing with that ridiculous header background, as I 'm not a master in web design and was just customizing using trial and error. Thanx again

      #header-inner{background-position:center;margin-left:auto;margin-right:auto}
      #header{margin:0;border:0 solid $bordercolor;color:$pagetitlecolor;float:left;widt h:100%;overflow:hidden;}
      #header h1{margin:0 5px 0;padding:20px 0 0 0px;font-family:Arial, Helvetica, Sans-serif;font-weight:bold;font-size:46px;color:#02060E;}
      #header .description{padding-left:4px;color:#43474C;font-size:14px;padding-top:1px;margin-top:0px;}
      #header h1 a,#header h1 a:visited{color:#02060E;text-decoration:none}
      #header h2{padding-left:15px;color:#736f74;font:14px Arial,Helvetica,Sans-serif}
      #header2{float:right;width:51%;margin-right:0px;padding-right:0px;overflow:hidden;}
      #header2 .widget{padding:30px 10px 0 10px;float:right}

      Can you tell me, where should I edit? I'm confused

        Just add this code to the bottom of that CSS code you just posted:

        #Header1_headerimg { padding-left: 4px !important; padding-top: 1px !important; }

        This CSS rule looks for anything in your HTML code with an id of "Header1_headerimg" (your main header image) and adjust the amount of spacing (padding) on the top and left.

        I added "!important" to the end of each rule to overwrite the inline styles applied to the image, which are currently affecting the spacing:

        <img alt="Indie Game Smash" id="Header1_headerimg" style="display: block; padding-left:15px; padding-top:25px;" src=" ...

        So that's how it works, but just adding that one line of CSS code to the bottom of your styles should do the trick.

    I like it.
    It does seem like there's a little too much white at the top of the site though.
    Looks a little strange.

    And if you really wanna do some extra work, you can try and make the images on your articles fit better. (not stretched out to fit the set parameters)

    I just take some peak on the site overall the design is good the only thing that I notice is how you use your header .. it would be cool if you could make a full header of not just half header

    Looks good,

    I think adding custom buttons and customizing some fonts would make it look better.

    Also, should fix the header, as well.

    Hello! I think your blog is very neat and detailed. I like the design. But it loads very slowly. Can you make any adjustments on that? Not all people had the patience to wait for something they'll spend time on, it's very slow. I hope that helped you in a way or so. Best of luck!
