Indexing with XML Sitemap

Warriors,

I have a website with a number of pages with the noindex, nofollow attribute that I obviously don't want search engines to index.

I now want to add an XML sitemap however I'm concerned that it might make my 'noindex' pages indexed somehow!

Anybody know if Google will still not index those pages or if the XML sitemap will make them show them up?

Thanks

If you want to indexing XML site map than you have to do XML format of a Sitemap file. Webmaster can search this type of sitemap it is very useful for creating any browser to define the elements and attributes.

Yes indeed, though that doesn't really answer my question?!

Any half-decent sitemapper will respect nofollow, noindex, canonical, robots.txt etc. (If unsure, ask support of whatever tool you use or check the actual generated XML sitemaps.)

The sitemap is merely a listing of your pages for the search engine, the inclusion (or exclusion) of a page should not affect whether that page is included in the SE index.

When the SE bot visits your page, if the page is noindexed, the SE should respect that attribute.
