Hey Guys,

I need help with my site please
.
www(dot)influx(dot)co(dot)za

Basically all I want to do is reposition the slider and make the gaps between the menu bar, slider and page smaller. How do I the slider up a little bit towards the menu bar, and also move the page up towards the slider? Im using wordpress 3.4, and EvoLve theme, and vSlider.

Anything else I can improve on the site?

Any help would me much appreciated.

    You can usually get help quickly on oDesk.com for tasks like this.

    Post a project and list what you will pay.

    When I do this, I am often able to complete the task successfully in a few hours.

    Thanks for the advice guys, but I want to learn how to do it myself. I know it's probably a very simple procedure. Can anybody show me?

      If you "know" it is that simple... why didn't you solve it already?

      If you have no idea how to solve a design issue involving solid knowledge of XHTML and CSS - never assume "it is simple".

      If everything was simple, this forum would be obsolete...

    It is really bad to hear someone ask for help and still say that "it is very simple and they need a bit of guidance". Most a the times, all they can do is copy-paste. Such requests make you feel as a side-kick even when you are the main character.

    Ok,

    It is simple.
    Download Firebug and study the code
    #vslider_optionscontainer

    That is the id you contol
    Try something like
    #vslider_optionscontainer {
    margin-top:-50px;}

    You will need to play with it until you get it right.

    In any case. if you are selling yourself as a web design company you should come up with your own design rather than fixing someone elses. it is alot simpler to work that way round

    Make sure you make back up of all files and data before you start playing with coding.
