Hello, I'm looking for a plugin or something to create sort of a dock of icons to the right side of the content on a WordPress website. I'm looking for something sort of like that sharebar plugin which will give you an attractive box that will follow you as you scroll down the page. Only instead of the stuff like the various sharing buttons I want to create some of my own icons so on every page I can have something like a contact us button, read our reviews button, etc. Does anyone know a plugin that can do this or another way? All I need is like a rectangle of space that will follow a person down the page as they scroll where I can put a couple of images with links. This has to be to the right of the content of the page. Thanks in advance. |

I don't know of a plugin, but you could do this with CSS. Just create a <div> with an id, go to CSS, set your width, height, and padding, and adjust the margins until the rectangle is located where you'd like it. In order to get it to "float" as the user scrolls, simply put "position:fixed;" in the CSS. Also make sure to set a z-index to make sure the box is above everything else layer wise on the site.

Try sharethis.com. You can see the buttons on the left side of their site. Not a plugin though.

There are several plugins that float on left or right side as you wish, the Cevhershare plugin is the most flexible of these, IMO, and also will allow you to create your own custom buttons. WordPress › CevherShare « WordPress Plugins Regards, Dave Seldon |
