Does anyone know how to put a password over my website log in? I need to make a password for my website so only people i know can log in.

    what kind of site do you have? static or blog?

    do you have hosting with a cpanel?

    if so you can easily put protection of a directory of your choice (even your root directory)
    login to your hosting cpanel area and click on "Web Protect" under the heading "Security"
    if your website is on the root directory then the directory you want to protect is "public_html" so click on it's name, assign a username and password to it and save.
    there you go..you just created a private area for you and your circle of friends/associates

    If you have a WordPress site, you would just have members register and everything that you post you would select it as "private" in your post settings.

    PS: There's also many security scripts that are free floating around that you can use to secure a site. There are many ways to do it.
