Short of manually FTPing them to your site, does anyone know if there is a function in XSitePro 2 that allows you to include a PDF in your site project and have it (XSitePro) upload it when uploading everything else?

Tommy.

    Hi Tommy,

I'll take a stab at it, though someone may know of a better way...

Go to the "Other" tab in xsp and click on File Manager to add your file to your "inventory" (my term).

If you want it to load to your web site, you'll need to link to to something.

Highlight a word or phrase and right click/insert link/other files and choose your file.

    God bless,

    Andy

Thanks Andy... turns out it's simple enough (when you know how)!

To add a PDF into your web page, say, for downloading by a visitor, simply following the six steps below:
STEP 1: Head over to the "Other" tab inside XSitePro, then select the "Resource Manager" button.
STEP 2: Click the "Add" button, and browse to your chosen PDF and select it.
STEP 3: When prompted, choose the folder you want to add the PDF file to
STEP 4: Now, with your file added to the web site, head to the part of your page (or layout) design you'd like to feature a download link, and right click on the selected text/image that you want to become your download link
STEP 5: From the right-click menu that appears, choose the "Insert Link" >> "Other Files" menu options, then select the folder into which you saved your PDF - you'll see the PDF listed in that menu.
STEP 6: Selecting the PDF file from the menu will set the selected text/image as a link to that PDF file.
When you next publish your web site, visitors will then be able to access the PDF file concerned, by clicking on the text/image link you just set up.

Hope this helps. If you need any further assistance don't hesitate to contact us.

    Kind Regards,
