Question on Wordpress Themes

I am thinking of creating a forum. However, I want to try to integrate a Forum type theme into a self hosted wordpress site. I know about bbpress and simple press, however these are plugins that require heavily on tools. I was looking more for something that I could upload into the theme of Wordpress like Optimize Press? I haven't been able to find anything like this, but do you guys know of anything?

    I have no idea what you want...
    OptimzePress is a theme.
    Any forum is a script. Another script (as it is WP) that is done for forum functionality.
    In other words: a theme will never be a forum. Period.

    You already know about the 2 best solutions. And NO, bbpress is NOT a plugin - it is a stand alone forum script made by the same guys as WP... and it can use a plugin to share the users database with WP.

    Look up Vanilla Forums. They have both a paid and open-source version. It should be pretty easy to integrate with Wordpress.
