    I like the layout and design of the overall site, but the color scheme doesn't work in my opinion. The orange doesn't blend very well with the shade of blue. But that's just my opinion. Overall it's a good blog.

    The color schemes too plain. Though the yellow header text with some effect matches that greyish color, the rest isn't just complimenting each other. I especially don't like the blue choice in this one.

    This is an excellent start, follow the advice members have given you in this thread, that would be a good start.

    Maybe a little less grunge, use only colors that compliment each other.

    The best advice I can give you is to lose the SubHeader Graphic (The Initiate, Innovate one). You want readers to be reading your content, and the more content you can get above the fold is going to help them stick.

    You have a good theme for your site, I'd say you should play up your inspiration and where the name of the site came from, or else people won't get it when they come there, especially since the second half of Franklin's quote really helps the name make a lot more sense.

    Make sure to showcase your content, or a really awesome free offer, or anything that will make people stick to your site, that's what will help you in the long run.
