Help Me Edit My Blogger Template

I'm a Nigerian and i own The Tech Journal -Technology, Blogging Tips, Gadgets, Mobile Tips...
I got this current template for free and i really want to remove one of my sidebars, the one that has category on it, and perhaps free more space for my blog posts.
I'm a total noob to css and html and am wishing someone with a kind heart would help
