I think you've got a good idea going, I would tone down the intensity of the color in the Tree Background because it's kind of distracting from the form you want people to use. I would also let the user get through to some search results before asking them to register, that seems to be the most popular way of getting people to register or make sales on dating sites.

In terms of layout, design and usability - I really like it! Really easy to navigate and love the "Step 1, 2 and 3" icons on the homepage. However, I agree with ALicenseToCode, the tree background is a little distracting and I'm not sure the pouty tattooed woman in the foreground would appeal to everyone!

Everyone loves a little romance - why not use a picture of a "loved up" couple instead?

Thank you all for the feedback, originally I had a light blue background but I will be changing the background soon to something less distracting, just a basic color... I will also be changing the girl on the front page. I will see what the writing looks like with the new background.

Rain21 - I am using .html and .php knowledge to edit the coding from a script that has recently been developed and built from the ground up by my good friend Andy. If your interested in obtaining this code you can PM me for details. This code is fully customizable but my knowledge is limited in the .php field, so to do extra cool stuff I will need to hire a programmer. I will be implementing video chat and video profiles in the next few weeks hopefully.

Don't like the color on the home page. I mean the big picture with the girl. It's to dominating and boring. Personally I would prefer casual colors like on the danish dating site Dating.dk - Danmarks største datingsted for singler i alle aldre

But beside the critic I think your graphical part is very good.

Function wise you should make it possible to search without an account. Only to get pictures as a result.. You need something to get the curious, but lazy people to sign up

I agree, it would peek my curiosity more if I could see some real search profiles before registering. From there it would lead me to go to step two which actually create a profile or answer to one. The photo of the girl on the front page is a turn off to me because (as a woman) it looks like an iStock photo and a commercial ad pretending to be real. Photos of real people or silhouettes of happy couples would be more attractive for those who want to connect.
The blue background reminds me of Facebook. It's kind of nowhere and a bit cold.
On the plus side, the site is laid out well and intuitive. Very clean..Looks professional.

So many people have told you to take off the girl with the tree

you are obviously in love with the girl/tree layout

you cannot even read the white text on the lower part because of all the colors

What does a tattoo'd girl with a Amazon tree in the background have to do with USA dating?

Your theme layout is all wrong to go with the name of the site

The site is beautiful. It looks fun, but still professional.

If I really had to change something, I would remove the gray space between the navbar and the image with the girl.

I like it. I think that it clearly deals with "hook-ups" not relationships based upon the image of the tatooed girl. if this is the market you want to serve... then, good start.

I like the layout of your site, it looks clean but then this is a dating site right? I believe you are also targetting both male and females right? with the woman at the center it seems like you are just targetting male members. And like Zotown said, I think you can do a better logo.

If you're getting a more mature crowd signing, why not add a picture that reflects your customers. I'd suggest a COUPLE, rather than just that young woman. The image suggests 'hot dating for guys' when you have a tatooed girl peering seductively over her shoulder. That might turn you on as a guy. But as a girl, I promise you it does NOT have the same effect on women!

Also, I think you need to modify some of the coding in your backend so that the photos that are uploaded by customers are automatically sized to correctly fit in the box size you are using. At the moment images are squashed, or have unnecessary white borders around them. You may need some help from a coder to sort that one out, but it will be worth it in terms of creating a more professional-looking site.

I like the look & feel of it - agree with most comments on here - narrow down who your customer is and gear that home page for them. If it's an older crowd, then the young tatted girl needs to go and be replaced with a MILF

  Personally there's a few things I'd change:
  
  Join for free part on homepage.. leads to a button that says search.. this should be a whole joining process. No point letting them escape joining before searching.
  
  How it works menu link.. change this to "How to get a date with us", as I'm guessing anyone who lands on your site aready knows "How *it* (Internet dating) works".
  
  "Easy to Use state of the art dating platform" - who on earth cares? Your target market isn't me.. Unless it is.. but if it isn't this message should be more bold to the person looking for a date: "Get a date in as little as 10 minutes"..
  
  So forth..
  
  Differentiate yourself too.
  
  To be fair this is a hard niche to crack. I don't believe you will have the budget to make this work but good luck.

Design is good, you just need to move your site to a faster server because the loading is slow in the menus. 2 seconds on average.

Now go on an market it. The only thing that would make me not register there would be the speed. Slow sites are extremely annoying because todays technology is fast and we expect sites to move as fast if not faster.
