Hey all, I have a couple of questions about the thesis theme on Wordpress. Everything I read online talks about how it's the most amazing thing ever but I can't seem to find much good info on what it actually does. My questions are these: 1. Does thesis control just the back-end, or front and back end of a site? 2. Related to the first I guess. Can I install a theme or skin over top of thesis to make it look unique? I have a couple of sites and am not a complete rookie with Wordpress, but far from an expert either. Thanks so much for your help. |

Thesis controls the front of the site: the look, design and layout, exactly as any WordPress theme does. You wouldn't want to install a theme on top of Thesis (you can only have one theme active at a time) but there are certainly lots of places you can buy a Thesis skin. A skin is where someone has created a design using the built-in Thesis functionality and packaged it up into a folder which you then upload to your server. You can also create your own design and layout with Thesis, using the Thesis control panels and the custom functions and custom stylesheet files. Cheers, Martin. |
