How do you give your photo a white background?

I would like to put a photo of myself on my website, how would I make my photo background white? Thanks.

Make sure the background you take your photo with is all one color then use something like photoshop's magic wand tool to select and delete the background then save the pic as a gif or png.

PhotoShop can do this one very easily.

I have have seen bids as low as $10 on RentAcoder to do jobs such as this..

Might be worth checking out

Hello

Adobe Photoshop is the best way to do this if you can not take the photo with the correct background in the first place.... From what you are asking, I am assuming that you don't own Photoshop, because if you had invested the hundreds of dollars it costs for this software, you would most likely know that to do this is a straigh forward project.

I use Photshop every day and could help you out with this for maybe $10.... Others on this site also have this skill and the software. I would suggest that if you decide to hire someone, make sure you tell them exactly what size you want the final picture to be in pixels.... Width X Height.

I use Adobe Photoshop for everything! It's very easy, and like Richard said, make sure you have the proper pixels for the final picture as it can be a disaster if you don't.

You could use GIMP to do that no problem, Gimp is a photoshop clone and works great.

I could be wrong but if it is a standard photo that has different colored background then it would be very difficult to do so.

There are many ways to design the photo as you like. Adobe Photoshop is the best. You can also go to “resizr.lord-lance.com”. Firstly make sure that the requirement of photo’s size or the proper pixels. As normal we use GEPG, GIF

Hi, there are many ways to accomplish a white background. If you have PhotoShop, you can select the background with the magic wand and fill the area with white or delete the background once it is selected and when you flatten the image the background will be saved as white. Hope that helps.
