At the beginning my only passion was blogging. Then after using WordPress as a blogging platform I realized that some knowledge about web designing languages is important. Now I want to learn html, css, pHp, Adobe dreamweaver.
Which will be good to start for a beginner ?
Where should I begin ?
Which language learning will help to become a WordPress Developer ?
Thank you.

first learn html (which isn't a language btw) and css. This will get you started. after that you will understand why html is limited and why dynamic language were built to combat issues html can't resolve and go on with php.

Yes, learn html and CSS first. First let me say they are not that hard to learn. There are literally hundreds of simple tutorials on the web to introduce you to writing web pages using html and CSS. Literally you can be writing a functioning web page in minutes of starting your quest. From there expanding on what you've learned is very simple.

As for PHP and Photoshop, they can be a tougher nut to crack.

Yes, learn the basics for HTML and CSS. Really mot tat hard. Then go find yourself a book like - "PHP for dummies" or something It would take you around an year to learn PHP good.

If HTML wasn't language, it wouldn't mean Hyper Text Markup Language

Thank you. I was also thinking about starting with html. Do you know about DreamWeaver ? Why it is used in website designing ?

Programs like Dreamweaver are what are called IDEs "Integrated Design Environment" they are editors designed t specifically to work with Web languages like HTML and CSS different ones also support other languages such as Javscript and PHP. Dreamweaver cost about $400 there are others that are free. Personally my favorite is Microsoft's Visual Web Developer. The express edition is free and it is crazy powerful software.

I also agree here that the most easiest place to learn web designing is to learn html first before any other programmes.

Start by learning HTML/CSS. These are in fact programming languages, just not server-side languages. HTML is going to be a more powerful language in the future with the rise of HTML5 popularity.

I recommend starting with Codeacademy. It's interactive and they'll walk you through the process of building a simple webpage. Plus, it's free.

HTML5 is just HTML but is the 5th revision of the HTML standard. HTML5 is intended to subsume not only HTML 4, but XHTML 1 and DOM Level 2 HTML as well. —Wikipedia, HTML5

I would say CSS, PHP and HTML5 are going to help you when it comes to advanced Web Development. Allot of people also use Photoshop for the Web 'Design' aspect of it.

To setup a Wordpress Playground for learning, i would suggest getting XAMPP so you can install wordpress.org locally on your computer.

          Good luck!

w3schools will provide everything you want to know. It's a free website, and they go through everything in an orderly and easy-to-understand manner. And they let you know what will and will not work in all the major browsers. As a 13-year career Website designer/developer myself, I strongly encourage you to check them out.

Hey, I suggest you go with html and css first. OR you could learn how to use Joomla! but that is just a CMS. The best site to learn all this would be lynda.com They have the best tutorials but it is not free though.

Check out a book on Amazon called: HTML and CSS: Design and Build Websites

It has beautiful, full page colored graphics that really help lay out the fundamentals of HTML5 and CSS3 (introduction). I purchased this as a gift for my girlfriend and found that it was very detailed for me to brush up my skills with.

You can also check out: HTML5 The Lost manual and CSS3 The Lost Manual.
