What do you guys think so far: pagerankworld .com

I know it needs more content, but I am trying to promote the website right now as well as write high-quality content. I am doing everything myself, and I plan to monetize it in the future with my own products like eBooks etc.

My other idea was to offer up a newsletter where anyone who joins my list will be given free versions of things I am selling (lower-end things). To gain a list.

What do you think?

I wouldn't use an ad spot for your newsletter signup.

The theme you bought is clean and all but you have no calls to action, nothing to really get your traffic to do anything aside from read your content.

I wouldn't put your age unless you are the 17 year old IM millionaire. It doesn't add any value and probably hurts more than it helps.

Social Proof: Why should I read what you have to say?

I have zero reason to do so right now.

    Where is your about page?

How much money do you make? People only read IM blogs of people who are making bank so you have to show that upfront and center.

"Watch me turn my IM business from 0 to $100,000 a year before I turn 21"

Something to keep people reading because there is no reason to trust what you have to say at this point.

What's with the "Join" button waaayyyyy at the bottom of the page? If that is the main action you want the visitor to take, then move that button to the top of the page.

And who the hell is Brandon? You don't do a good job of explaining who Brandon is, and why anyone would want his newsletter. You need a stronger "bribe".

I'd also change the background image to a solid color. The swirly rainbow thingy doesn't add to your site.

Nice job on the site overall! I have to disagree with the previous poster about the background image, I like it. Gives the site some interest without detracting too much from the site itself.

I do agree that the call-to-action needs to be a little more prominently displayed and also give the user the ability to enter their information there directly. There is no need to direct that call-to-action to another page in order to do so. Definitely keep the one on the bottom as it is. I don't recommend deleting your option page, just give the user the ability to enter their info without having to go somewhere else.

One other point I would mention... while all of the "motion" on the website is kind of cool, it also too distracting. There is too much movement going on and I don't really know where to focus. You obviously have a lot of info there, but I would revert to using the navigation to check it all out. You don't need to bombard me with that face when I get to your site.

Just my opinion and you know what they say about opinions... LOL... everyone has one. Good job though. Looks like it took some thought and obviously some work.

Really nice design. It pulls my intention immediately to that Popular/Recent/Comments/Tags box, which is good and bad. I can see a lot of content, but it also doesn't show me the headlines on the left.

You should optimize the design more (removing the ticker-box - I don't favor them in the slightest) so that I am being pulled into the content on the left, and focus your sidebar more for the Call to Action. Just my two cents, though

Sorry to say that. But if i answer properly then i should say that your site seems like empty.
You should change the background along with the other color combinations.
