Where do you think web design is heading in the future?

If you had to imagine what functionality websites will be using in the next 5 years, where do you think trends will be heading?

We all know that responsive design is picking up steam, I can only imagine what new techniques will be utilized for most websites in the future.

    I don't think it will change much, I even think some things will revert back to old style, for example:

    those unpaginated comments loading on pages with a lots of comments, like when a page has hundreds of comments, now the trend is to make users keep clicking "load more comments" indefinitely, that's the most horrible thing I've seen in a while, this reminds me of the time when Flash was released and everybody was overdoing it, making sites unusable. Same thing now, people are overusing Jquery giving priority to coolness instead of usefulness. Facebook's timeline is the same thing.

    5 years from now it will look about the same, this forum is exactly the same for more than 5 years, just an example.

    remember when people used to think that in year 2000 everybody would be driving flying cars
