phplist FTW! - Excellent Mailing manager
Just finished setting up phplist for a client. I wanted to let Warriors know about this very dynamic mailing manager. And while it is not an aweber killer, this script can be used to send out targeted mass mailings for free!
It supports html templates for sending out nice custom layout. The look and feel can be simple or get very jazzy.
You can bulk import emails into the database.
Phplist can be setup on shared hosting accounts with crontab to sendout large mailings (2000+) without taxing the server too much. Very cool opt-in opt-out system. Lots more, check it out it's a cool script.
