You can try godaddy.com to purchase your domain and hosting. They are playing a good role to provide domain and hosting services for a long time with good reputation.

    Talktotop,

You need to register each site with a domain name, you can purchase this from any domain registers such as Go-daddy etc. I'd always purchasing a domain for 2 years (it's charged annually) & if you can afford it recommend 5 years as this shows Google your "dedication" to your site.

Next you need a hosting account, you can host all your sites on one account so it's easily managed. You can check out host gator / blue host etc for this. Start off with the smallest hosting package. You can always upgrade your account when your getting the traffic.

Then you need to change your DNS settings so your domains are pointing to your hosting account. If this is too complex you can always purchase your domain & hosting from the same company so it's all pre configured for you.

For each site you shouldn't be paying anything over $15 for the domain & $50 for your hosting each year.

    Hope that helps.

    Cheers,

    Jamus

P.S. If it did help hit the "thanks" button in the bottom right of this post

To have all of your sites together you will use "add-on domains" in your hosting account. Here's a tutorial Hosting an Add-on Domain on Your Shared Hosting Account - eWebHosting - Top Web Hosts

I'd recommend registering your domains one place and hosting your websites somewhere else.

For domain registration try Cheap Domain Names Registration, Domain Transfer, SSL Certificates, Free DNS, Privacy Protection • Namecheap.com. They're inexpensive and a good registrar. Easier to work with and less expensive than Godaddy or Network Solutions.

For hosting stick with a host that uses cPanel - I prefer Web Hosting Services, Reseller Hosting, VPS Hosting, and Dedicated Servers by HostGator, and as you want to host more than one domain you'll need the 'hatchling' plan. I wrote a post on why I recommend hostgator last year - I think it's relevant but if the mods disagree they can delete my post - My Hostgator Review | Why I use and recommend Hostgator for WordPress

Start by purchasing one domain at namecheap, then setup your hosting account using that domain. You can then add as many domains as you want - when purchasing them enter the nameservers that hostgator sends you in your welcome email and they'll be ready to add to your hosting account. All you'll need to do is go to 'addon domains' and enter your new domain names, then you can easily install WordPress or whatever you want to use on those domains.

    That should get you started.

Some people have the misconception that when you want to use a hosting company, you need a company that also supports domain names.
Sure, there are hundreds of hosting services available but finding the one that provides your needs can be complex if you don't know where to start.

Please don't buy your domain name from GoDaddy.
    • They actively lobby for laws that would censor the web, including SOPA, which had specific provisions assigning government-seized domains to GoDaddy
    • Their CEO proudly shows off on his blog his safaris to Africa where he hunts and kills elephants
    • They exclusively run sexist advertisements of semi-nude women to promote their products
    • They have a history of seizing domain names from their owners on behalf of government agencies without a warrant
    • They have a history of seizing domains from their owners on behalf of large content producers without a court order

To register your domain name, I recommend Namecheap. Namecheap has a history of fundraising and advocacy to stop the passage of internet censorship legislation, and a history of fighting government and copyright holder requests on behalf of its customers.

    Hi,

I'd say to go with Godaddy. I'm using them more than a year ago and they very good. Easy to use and also for a one off fee(i think it was $27-you can Google it,its called: Godaddy Auctions Pagerank Checker) you can download it and it works with Firefox and Chrome too. With a double click on the domain will show you the PR of the sites and also shows if the PR fake. I've checked it plenty times in the beginning if its accurate and it is! . Also they giving you great and quick help if you need it.

I prefer namecheap and have moved all of my domains over to them. But Godaddy is fine for domain registrations just not for hosting IMO.

1)Use Godaddy to purchase a domain
    2) setup a hosting account at HostGator
    3) add the domain you registered to your hosting servers cpanl "click addon domains."
    4) Log into your godaddy account and update the domains name servers so they are using your hostgators accounts nameservers.

    I hope this helps!
