Please check out and review a homepage design for my new lingerie website!!!

It's not bad, but it could be better.

Quick answer - it gets a "6". I'll tell you why.

It looks good. The design is clear, everything is laid out properly with distinct borders. However, there is soo much content on the home page. My eyes were bouncing all over the page trying to figure out what I was supposed to be looking at. And that's not just because of the scantily clad ladies I assure you.

I don't know if all that content is great though. What are your best sellers? Place emphasis there and let everything else sit back on the interface.

Some of the text doesn't pop out enough for me. In the top bar you've got "100% next day dispatch, free returns and discreet packaging". Pretty important stuff for anyone interested in ordering - however, it's really easy to miss. You've got pink and white on a pink background. How is that supposed to stand out?

On the very bottom you have your phone number with some strange gradient and border. it doesn't read well. Get rid of the gradient. Fancy effects aren't worth a damn if your customers can't read it to call you. Do you want customers calling you, or do you want fancy text?

I think that's an easy one to answer.

Easiest fix - make sure your important information stands out!

That's all you need to focus on and this page would go from okay to awesome. Overall, not bad, but it can be improved. I know you probably paid good money for this, but don't let that get you too attached.

Hope this wasn't too harsh, I was just trying to give honest advice. When money is involved I think honest answers are more important than platitudes.

Oh, one more quick thing. It loaded somewhat slowly for me, but I've got a crap connection. Since your page is image heavy - make sure all of your images are web optimized. You don't want to lose someone just because they have a slightly slower connection.

yes i worried it was a little mind boggling, im going to change some of the images so they are a bit simpler.

in regards to the content is it not good for seo purposes to have good content on there?

Content is important, please don't think I was saying otherwise. I actually like the amount of content. I think that most visitors would see it that way too.

But it's more important that a visitor can easily find what they are looking for. All the content in the world won't matter if a customer cannot quickly find what they need.

Honestly with everything you have you could probably make a couple of more focused niche sites. It might even be easier to market that way. Who knows though, I'm not a marketing consultant and I shouldn't pretend to be one. I'm just a designer with an opinion, please take it for what it's worth.
