Links to Pages or Posts Widget

Its more of a template option - I use one for my site, where I show my portfolio and also my logos

thanks Dzalnein, I know there is some template options that allow for some of this but the majority dont (or maybe its my limitations with using them), I dont want to have to alter code as that sucks.

There is something out there doing what I am looking for but I just cannot source it yet.. Because if I can manage the same process with images then someone has something for links that look the same as any other set of links in the side bar, I just have to find it, and hopefully one of the warriors knows what I am looking for..

Just in case anyone else reads this thread who are having the same issues and wants a solution, this is what I came up with after 2 days, about 20 different plugins and about 20 hours of research.

I can achieve all of what I wanted and more, I can now have recent posts appearing on certain pages, and only the categories that i want appearing, I can now have side bar menus that can also be page specific as I can create the menu and only add it into the pages I want.....


I figured out that I could install: WP Page Widget

This plugin gives me total freedom to remove and or add whatever widgets I want on specific pages, whilst allowing all other pages to receive whatever standard widgets I already have setup..



Posts According to Categories: Advanced Most Recent Posts Mod

I then added the above plugin so I can list recent posts only for those categories that I choose by applying it in conjunction with the other plugin on a page by page basis.. There is a little bit of additional effort to ensure that all posts in that category appear with the same information, but its only an addition few clicks.:

For me it now means I can also add other content on a page by page basis with full flexibility.. yes I do have some banner plugins that do the same but if its not a banner then this solution offers something more..
