Hi fellow warriors, I've been kinda struggling with creating graphics for some of my websites. I would say I have medium level skills so I've been making some of the graphics/pictures for my site, however it recently dawned on me that there must be a better way, so here I am posing the question.

What do most people do to get graphics for their websites? Any insights would be most appreciated

Most of the bigger design magazines (smashing magazine, hongkiat, desingers depot) offer freebies on a regular basis.

There's a site subtlepatterns (google it), where you can get awesome patterns, and you can find a lot of free icons on iconfinder.

If you provide more details on what you need exactly, maybe we can be of bigger assistance to you.

Search the WSO section for "graphics". I got a hand drawn arrow pack there and some other stuff.

On Fiverr I got 200 3d people (you know those white round ones) for $5.

Just search there for what you want.

Also, search on Google then press "images". Heaps of stuff you can copy there and legally, as with "social icons".

      Cheers.

Search in Google for that "all-free-download" site. Yeah, it's a bit spammy. But they've pretty much found every free asset online and put it in one place. Just use their search bar at the top to find what you're looking for! Menus, arrows, etc. Whatever you need, it's usually there.

There are numerous magazines, which have come up these days, which can help you with your dilemma. However, I think that going through websites will be a good idea, since these will give you some idea of how your site will look with the help of the given graphics.
