Please review my affiliate site

WEB DESIGN

I have an affiliate site that I have been spending some of my time on and would really appreciate some professional opinions on it. I have started seeing a little bit of traffic to it and I haven't even created any backlinks yet.

I am currently seeing about 200 visitors a month over the last 2 months with the current month starting off even better. I am worried that the user engagement is not very good, with the majority spending less than 10 sec per page. Thanks in advance for any help.

By the name, I expect to see reviews. I see a few but also see news which I don't care about. I wouldn't have a fb like box if I only have 2 likes. Put a button instead. Site looks blah/dreary. I want to see pics of stuff I can read up on about guns. Reviews, reviews, reviews

I would recommend:

1). Add some spice to the theme, by adding a Slider.
2). Add featured products in slider.
3). In sidebar, add some image banners of your Affiliate Products.

Here's my feedback:

1. Nothing really stands out from your site.

2. There are so many disconnect as well. Why would you put a Bible Quote on a Gun review site?

3. Site looks a bit spammy. It seems you're using one of those free themes. I think an average visitors will leave your site in less than 15 seconds.

4. I haven't made a real observation here but it looks like your keyword density is pretty high on some pages.

Apologize if those sounds harsh but that were my honest observation from your site.

No offence but you asked so I will tell.

To be honest I am a shooter so I should be really interested in what you have. But the site is so drab and bland I closed the windows after about 6 seconds.

You really need to liven it up a bit because you can have all the visitors in the world but if they don't click the links they won't make you money.

  Thanks for the honest reviews, and I take no offence to any of them, they are what I needed. I knew people were not spending time on my page but I never would have thought one of the biggest reasons was my theme. I really appreciate that. I am definitely taking all of your suggestions in and we will see what comes out. Thanks again.

  Ok, so I have since totally redone the look of my site. I know most won't remember what it looked like before, but I would like another review to see if I am on the right track with the look of the site. I think it is world's better, but other eyes help a lot.
  I know that I still need more reviews on my site and I am working on that, I am just worried about the look of it for now.

Use HTML and XML Sitemap.
Submit XML sitemap in Google webmaster Tool.

1 Reflection of the logo is not looking good.
2 No colors in your website. Why so?
3 Add live chat script.
4 An image should be in image frame or at least have a border.

I agree with everyone who says it's too bland--even with a free theme, you can liven it up more than that. Just adding a few colors would help.

This may sound harsh and I hope you don't take it personally, but another major problem for me is the writing. I tried reading one of the articles (the one on mounting a scope), but I couldn't finish it. The writing is very dry and has no real flow--it's difficult to read and you have to force yourself through it. I would consider hiring a writer on Elance or some similar site. No one will click on the embedded links if the writing doesn't draw them in.

Not being harsh just trying to help, I would say..

1) add more graphical photos that will attract visitors to read the reviews
2) a bit of additional colors is needed.
3) i dont see any energy on it.. need to provide more info and again logo's.. too dry.

1.Them graphic images
2.Site of you have too many colors
3.Bo Department site is not reasonable.
4.Logo not really impressed
