Great warriors, I'll be very grateful if you can help me review my site www dot hostketcom dot com I currently have Google Adsense running on it and have been approached by some firms to place paid banner adverts on it. I'll like suggestions on how to restructure the site to get maximum impact. Thanks a lot.

As a service provider, why do you have Google Ads on your website? It makes it look very sketchy. I mean, if I'm looking at your hosting packages, directly under the table is a Google Ad that shows another company.

I personally would suggest browsing Themeforest and picking up a template for 20 bucks or so. The design of the site itself is a little off-putting for me.

The site looks good just some nitpicking comments. Change the text font to a nicer looking Serif font. Use a different template, this one has a claustrophobic feel to it.

I'm going to be honest and say that the website is very 90's look and outdated. Especially your banner. I would also take a more professional picture of yourself and place it in a better spot. I also think there is just too much wall of text through out your homepage and I just wouldn't want to take the time to read all of that.

I'm going to be honest here. I don't like it at all. And I don't think you will see much success with it either. In fact, I would not pay a dime for a service provided by a web developer with a site like that.

As a "web developer" you have to be top in the industry. Meaning, you need to have a good looking site. Not a half thrown together site with ads plastered all over it. It's confusing, and has absolutely NO call to action.

I would suggest picking up a WP theme and learning how to manage a wordpress or joomla site. After all, you ARE claiming to be a web designer. This could be some well needed education for you as well.

A good design must have following things.

    Simple design
    easy to navigate
easy for search engine to crawl it.

Yes have to say i did not like it. As said before look very 90s or basic HTML kompozer editor job. Personally i would not know where to even start with website design, but i would start with getting a whole new template, like lets face it if you want to be taken seriously as a web designer the key is to have a professional looking website as that is your number one portfolio. On top of all this as someone mentioned before the Google adds not really suited for the website plus you seem to be having a little advertising overkill. It looks a little like you have not got enough things on the site so adding adverting to fill up space.

I don't think that you should change any thing.
Your site is looking professional and also informative.

I think your theme is a little dated, the site has some good data and a good niche. But it seems like a personal web design firm instead of a professional web design firm.

    A few notes:

I would recommend using more of a corporate layout if you are a service provider. At the present your site looks kinda schetchy.

Use a different font other than Times New Roman, try Verdana instead.

I believe you need to decide whether you want to be a service provider or an advertiser. With the way your site is laid out it's hard to decide which business you are in. Other service providers may advertise on their site, but their content and their advertisements are very clearly defined and separated.

To be completely honest, your website doesn't look professional at all.
Maybe you should consider using some free templates that can be found online.
Or hire someone to do a proper job for you.

It would be best for your website to speak for itself - you don't have to guide people IMO - with that said, perhaps you can put your information on a page with "Founders" or "About Us". Unless you are selling fitness or something like that (where your body is the product), let the service sell itself.

It looks like you have decent information - maybe you can spread it out a bit. If you have an article on doing movies or videos, then put the ads for cameras in it. If you have a page talking about the steps to creating a business online, you can put a Grasshopper ad with it, etc. Just so that you don't have so many ads on one page.

You can also get lots of good themes for a small price - like elegantthemes.com, etc. There, you are not stuck with one theme but can use many. You would need to have a little PHP assistance to "tweak" it for your needs. You can get all sorts of basic work done at Fiverr (graphics, etc.) - so - there are many options out there.

I'll be honest. Design is bad because you are promoting website design and your website itself doesn't have any quality. Make it professional looking, more likely a real company. If you are individual, check on css gallery websites that offers website design as well, you will see how they structured their website. Simple, professional and elegant.

All in all, your website looks news website than website service provider to me.

^ He's right, To be honest, your site looks kind of messy, as for the changes, it would be better if you look for a standard color theme/layout for you site and only pick out certain colors to use , instead of having a confusing mess of different colors all around your site...

I second his opinion. Use contrasting colors, if you ask me..
