Regular or Reseller Hosting?

Hi, this is my first post to the Forum. I've been lurking for a few month's and am getting ready to take some action. I want to get a hosting account and am trying to figure out if it's better to get a hosting account with unlimited addon domains as opposed to a Reseller Host acct. My main concern is that from what I understand, visitor stats are monitored through cpanel. An account with addons only has one cpanel, while reseller accounts hace a cpanel for each domain. I'm planning to concentrate on affiliate marketing to start and I want to be able to analyze traffic individually for my eventual multiple domains. Any pro's and con's to the choice of hosting would be appreciated.

Thanks,

JR

    Hey JR,

If you are looking to give people other than yourself access to cpanels, the maybe you might want to look into having reseller hosting. If its just you, then just have the one account with unlimited domains. It will make your life easier in the long run. No need to remember multiple login names/passwords. If you are looking to analyze traffic, I highly recommend using Google Analytics. Its easy to find, just google it. It is also easy to use. They explain it well, and it is powerful. In the google analytics panel you can monitor multiple sites, and organize them. The amount of things they monitor is amazing, and extremely useful. If you have any questions, feel free to send me a message. If you would like a referral for a high quality host that I use for my clients with great customer service, send me a message and I will send you the link.

I'm using bluehost and it's quite reliable. for tracking, I'm using google analytics which is free. J

ust for a word of advice, you should test your niche first by using free websites like squidoo first before investing in a hosting account.

If your site gets high volume of traffic per day (say 50,000+ per day) then go with reseller plan. Otherwise regular is OK.

    Hey Shafiq Kamal,

I see you're responding here. How about answering one of the half dozen PM's I've sent you over the last couple of months about that eCover you were doing for me?
