Help with Slices in Photoshop

Hi I bought some Psd files here on WF as a WSO and they apparantely come with slices.

However when I open the files in my older version of Photshop (version 7) the slices are all missing.

Version 7 does have slices they are just not there when I open the files. I assume it is because they were made in a later version of photoshop.

Does anyone know how to overcome this problem?

If I were to use Photoshop Elements would this work?

Is it possible to have them saved by someone into a format recognised by the older version of Photoshop

Thanks

Tom

Tom, l've never run into this issue in the past (15+ years exp in the field)
but if you send them to me l can open them up with my photoshop (cs5) and see if the slices are there and try resaving them in compatibility mode.

Hit me up on skype at: darrenwoods80 if interested.

Tom, the best way to go is to ask the originator of the WSO for help.

I'm sure it will be possible for him to either save the file in a way that you can use in PS7
or show you how you can open it in Gimp.

Anyway, are you sure it's slices and not layers??

Well, Gimp could be worth a try...
it's free open source and AFAIK you can open PS files with it.
