Hi warriors,

Profits Theme has internal membership plugin and with OptimizePress you need to add membership plugin. If you are using one of these themes as
a membership site I realy appriciate if you share your opinion and expariance,

Thanks,
Avi

I own both Profits Theme and Optimize Press. I also own WishList Member and I have integrated it into Profits Theme and Optimize Press. They both worked extremely well but I still had to spend quite a few hours understanding how these two themes worked. Then I had to spend numerous hours figuring out how to properly integrate WishList member.

Can't really say which I like better because they both performed the way I wanted them to, which was more than just the standard way of setting them up, but I did eventually figure out the integration.

I see a lot of WF Members using Optimize Press and WishList member together and those sites look great. I was able to achieve the same (or near the same) professional look in Profit Themes.

But are your Optimize Press membership sites really "protected"?
I am simply asking because last week I was googling for something (forgot exactly what, sorry)
but landed on what looked like an OP membership site. So the site was obviously not protected.
I don't know if that was intentional or not, I could only guess that the googlebot indexed it,
and now that membership site could be consulted by simply googling for a related keyword.

So am I correct in concluding that OP membership protection scheme is not very strong,
or was this just a freak accident?

While I have OP, I don't really use it that much, and I definitely never used it as a membership-site engine.

hmm.. or maybe that's one reason why they add WhishListMember to the mix ??

      Hi Mike,

I just built a membership site using Profits Theme and just tested it. Not working. I'm not getting my username and password information and also did not integrate with GetResponse, my autoresponder.

Do you have any idea what the problem is? Hopefully tech support will get back to me.

OptimizePress in itself doesn't have any "membership" feature - it needs an additional plugin (script) to protect/hide the content...

So, whatever 'leak' you found during your search it wasn't because of Optimizepress but because of a faulty plugin or lack of plugin.

I have created many membership sites for myself and clients and I always suggest using OptimizePress and Wishlist.

OptimizePress makes it incredibly easy to setup a nice clean membership website...and then with the addition of the Wishlist plugin you will have a protected membership area in only a few hours. It integrates with all the major payment processors and autoresponders.

Plus, the Wishlist team has the best customer support around. They will usually reply to you within a hour or so during normal business hours. So if you have questions, they are their to help.

I've used both WishList and Profits Theme. While both are good solutions, I'd rather use Profits Theme now.

Profits Theme has everything you need without any additional plug-ins, scripts, or themes needed (unless you want to encrypt/protect your videos. To do this, I use S3 Flow Shield).

Profits theme integrates very easily with aWeber and Clickbank - to me, so much better than WishList. For example, with WishList, the customer sets up their own account. While that sounds like a non-issue, you wouldn't believe the issues it can create. Profits Theme automatically creates their account based off their Clickbank receipt info and I have had MUCH MUCH less support tickets than when with WishList in regards to that one "little" issue.

I only have two things I would suggest to the folks at Profits Theme - the ability to "clone" membership levels...and "clone" landing pages. I do a ton of split testing and tracking so I create many variations of the same landing pages for these purposes. Even though it doesn't take long to copy the settings of a landing page, it would be nice to just click a button to "clone this" - and then make minor edits I need (same with membership levels/products).

PotPieGirl: I use the Duplicate Post plugin. It will clone posts or pages. It makes setting up split testing much easier. In the list of pages or posts, it adds an additional link under each individual page or post to "Clone".
