Help with sales page on WP

I wanted a plain sales page with no header or side columns. I found a plugin, WP Optin, but it would not give me a clean page. So, put it on Jason Keiths WP Sales Letter theme. It works but needs some tweaking and I cannot figure out how to do it.

The page displays too wide in the browser, but looks fine on the preview in WP. Also, there is text within a boarder that does not display right and it will not let me change it. Can anyone help? If so, let me know what you need from me.

Also, is there a plugin or theme that will give me a plain sales page? That might be the easiest way to correct this problem.

Thanks

    Hi,

The easiest way would be to create a page template: Pages « WordPress Codex

This way you can control the code 100%.

well, depending what you want to achieve, if you can access the source code, you can do whatever you want. I'd suggest you add a plugin to Firefox called Firebug - this is an incredible tool which will allow you to change styling and the rest of your code, so you can make your site EXACTLY as you want.
Then you need to make those edits permanent/persistent: like mgreener suggests,
making a template seems the way to go.
But I'd experiment in Firebug first, write my changes somewhere,
before going to WP and hacking that...
    good luck,
