Wordpress Portfolio Page Question
Some wordpress themes come with a portfolio page. While I have set up many sites using wordpress, I have never used a theme that offers a portfolio option.
My question is: Can I set the portfolio page to be the default page?
I want to use the portfolio as a mini-directory, so I need that page to be the page that opens when someone goes to mydomainname.com
I know I can set a static page or a post as the default page, but I wondered if the portfolio page would appear in the pulldown list of options in the 'reading' section of the general settings? And if not, (which I somehow doubt that it does) is there a way to set the portfolio page as the static page?
