New LukePeerFly.com Blog Design! Please review :)

Last night I launched a new custom design for my blog, LukePeerFly.com. Please take a look and let me know what you think! I have big plans to help keep my blog growing and this design gives me the room I need to accomplish that.

    The best site i have seen so far in this forum!

    Looks professional and just the right kind of design that an AM blogger should have!

    I would however remove the first post advertisement and put it within the single post. Your site looks classy! Dont ruin it with the ads.

      Wow, thanks! I am testing some different ad placement to try to get the best results and no hurt the user experience. Thanks for your feedback.

    Is it the same at others end ?? It will affect the rankings !!

    It's nice. Nice trending elements (large vector, simplistic, menu at top, etc.)
    Drawbacks: Orange = eyesore, must leave. Overwhelmed with what I want to click. Looks useful. However, now I want to read the blog but it's so much all at once. I prefer sites that urge me through the site not smack me with TMI and leave it to me to figure out where to start. Many successful sites have a category or link saying, "New to _blog_? Start here!"

      It's loading pretty good for me. I'm going to run WebPageTest on it and try to optimize though

      Yeah, some people will be turned off by the orange, but I think I'm going to keep it for now. I can always try different (more neutral) colors in the future.

      I definitely am going to work on making the blog more new user friendly with information and guides on where the best content is to get started. Thanks for the feedback!

    I discovered something yesterday that I think is really worthwhile. I was looking for a specific WordPress plugin to add to my blog and landed on CodeCanyon's WordPress plugins page:

    If you want an awesome selection of paid plugins that's your place! I spent about $60 and got a bunch of awesome plugins that I think will really help reduce my bounce rate and overall I think they made my blog look way more attractive. Definitely worth a look!
