Im new to this and im trying to teach myself how to make a WordPress site. To start off i decided on using the Flexibility theme and starting messing around with it. I have searched and searched and it seems like i can't figure this out!! Frustrating

Im just trying to change the top feature part. I went to appearance > editor > feature.php.

I edited one of the titles and summary (and it changed on my site, good!). Now im trying to figure out exactly how to change the pictures for the ad that i changed?? This i can't find out so please educate me on this. Below are other issues which just don't seem to work for me.

I changed the "Read more!" link to go to my affiliate link and it still goes to the "flexsqueeze page" which i changed. I don't understand why its still doing this. I even watched a video on this and im 99.9% sure i did exactly as they did in the video and for me it won't work.

One more thing, I want my navigation bar to be below my header. So i went to my theme > navigation and for "Navigation Position" i opted for "below". And of course, it is still on top.

To me, it seems like im doing everything right and it still not working, kind of frustrating. I know im new so any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Do you have any cache plugins in your site backend. If you do then you are seeing old cache data. Need to clean the cache from the plugin if you have one to see any changes. Good rule of thumb is deactivate any cache plugins till your done mofiying the code (make notes in the code where you change things and have good backups)

Also use FireFox with FireBug plugin will help you modify the code and css.

Mind sharing your URL to your site, may get more responses to fix your problems you are having ...
