Sub Domain Input

Hi All,

I would like your input on sub domains. I have a few setup on my website but noticed that there not to effective. Should I get rid of the subs and just go with main index sites?

    Why do you use subdomains?
    You set them up for what...?
    "Not effective" meaning what? What did you expect and what is that they didn't perform?

      Sorry didn't mean to be so vague on the question, I just noticed that some of my subs are not being indexed. I'm finding out this is not a very good method or at least thats the way it seems. If the main domain is your main topics of interest then adding a sub way off the primary topic seems to be a strike against you. I'm not sure if that makes any sense. Just my thoughts and wanted some insight on the issue.

    Subdomains (if we think about the same thing; e.g. "subdomain.example.com") are considered a separate site - NOT part of the main domain!

    In other words:
    example.com/something = subfolder and part of the main site
    something.example.com = subdomain and not part of the main site

    This should explain why your subdomains are NOT getting "juice" from the main site...
