Mouse roll over code question

WEB DESIGN

I am trying to find the code to create a little pop up note when you mouse over a few words. All I can find is how to switch graphics and I don't see how that wold help me.

I have seen little yellow notes appear on other sites I have been to. Can you assist me with the code?

I am using Dreamweaver CS5.

You are probably thinking of a tooltip. I usually use the qTip plugin for jquery which works very nicely.

Hi Tim

If you don't want to use the plugin listed above, you can do this in Javascript.

Here is a tutorial AND it has all the code you need to be able to do this easy.

Create a Nice, Lightweight JavaScript Tooltip

you can use alt tag to get tool tip text.
